The Rite of Your Right to Write (Just Doing the Write Thing!)

Okay, now that I've thoroughly done my little play on words, let's take a look at the power and magic that comes out of writing.

Whether you are writing goals, to-do lists, or your life vision; healing letters to yourself or others; journaling; or just some creative expression, you make your world bigger and much clearer by using your "sword and shield": your pen and your writing tablet.

When you write a list of goals or things to-do, you create a higher likelihood of accomplishing those deeds. The act of writing, and then actually seeing what you have written, creates a much different experience in your brain versus just thinking about it.

When doing your vision work, your creativity allows you to experience the BIG picture of Life as you dive into the land of possibility. By capturing your life vision in writing, you can now go back and thoroughly re-experience it and keep it close to your Heart and Soul...you begin to live your vision because you see it every time you read it( which is a good idea to do daily).

Got unfinished emotional business with someone? Write them a letter, and put all your emotions connected to the issue into the letter. Do not sensor anything. Forgive and ask for forgiveness if that is what is needed as well. Write until you feel done.

Then create a ceremony in which you burn the letter...releasing everything from the past and giving it over to the Universe. Repeat this process as often as needed. Write the same to yourself if you feel the need as well.

Journaling can be a great tool for you to stay connected to you. There is no wrong way to journal, and it can be an effective method of checking in with yourself in regards to your goals. It is also a wonderful way to just simply express yourself and your feelings.

Sometimes the simple act of writing your thoughts and feelings down on paper helps you to see exactly what is going on, where you need to go, and what you need to do.

We are all poets and writers, but it is easy to be overly critical of ourselves and therefore prevent ourselves from ever picking up the might sword (The pen, remember??).

Go ahead, write that poem, those lyrics, that article, short story, or novel...it matters not what other think (or what you think others think), but rather, how it makes you feel. Write until you feel good, then write some more.

Writing...it's your right, and in that, you create a rite into a bigger, clearer, and more expressed self...just do the write thing for yourself...you will be glad you did...I am, and I am feeling much better now!...Thanks.

Celebrate a Rite of Passage the Right Way!

An important birthday such as a bar mitzvah, a bat mitzvah or a quinceanera deserves to be noted not just by the acknowledgment of a young person finding his/her way to adulthood but also an opportunity to gather family and friends in one large celebration! A rite of passage certainly needs to be celebrated in a big way. Regardless of budget, you can definitely find a way to make this special occasion an event to remember!

As family and friends gather, make sure they have a beautiful venue to recognize the honoree! Your son/daughter will not only love this chance to pass through the rites of adulthood and new maturity and responsibility but what maturing tween doesn't love a terrific party? Reward them for a great childhood and wish them good luck with their other adventures by throwing a terrific event in a spectacular location!

As you approach this event and begin planning for your loved one's party, keep in mind your actual budget. Having realistic expectations and understanding what you can get for your money will make party planning not only easier on the wallet, but much less stressful. Converse with your loved one and make sure he/she understands the parameters of your budget and the expectations he/she ought to have. For example, if you have budgeted a modest amount, make sure the honoree understands that he/she shouldn't be expecting to ride into the party on the back of a live elephant or other elaborate gestures. Talk over the menu with him/her and see what tastes he/she has and what his/her vision is for their special day. Keep it realistic but also try to make it fun and exciting! After all, an event like this only comes once in a lifetime!

Throwing a party for a young person can be challenging. Take time to consult and have an honest conversation about food, decorations, music possibilities, etc. Although you may not have a pile of money to burn, it won't be hard to make this young honoree happy if you simply listen to their wishes and find ways to create a great atmosphere for him/her and all of your guests. Take him/her to various venues and see which one is preferred. You don't need to scout out every possible meeting place in Spokane, but it would certainly be advised to listen carefully as you decide on where to hold this special event. In the end, it's meant to make your loved one feel honored and happy about getting older, let them have a small say in what could go into their party.

Start Rite Footwear Is the Right Start for Kids

Every child deserves a good start in life. This includes mastering the ability to roll, crawl, and stand. After your child start walking, it's time to start buying children's shoes. While several brands of children's shoes are available, one of the best choices is Start Rite.

Although many footwear companies have a long history, Start Rite's has one of the longest ones. Its history dates back to 1972. That's when the modern shoemaking business started in Norwich, UK. In fact, it's still the location of Start Rite's headquarters today.

A leatherworker named James Smith is responsible for inventing several innovations that revolutionised the shoe industry. Smith was the first shoemaker to offer ready-to-wear footwear to a large group of potential customers. This revolutionized the shoe industry, including footwear for children.

Throughout its history, Start Rite provided the shoe industry with several other innovations. During the 1800s, Charles Winter became the first shoemaker to produce footwear via a sewing machine. James Southall, the grandson of Charles Winter, later developed children's shoes that were distinctly different from those designed for adults. The focus was particularly on the goal of designing shoes to limit the damage to children's feet during their day-to-day lives.

In the early 1920s, a shoe retailer first used the name "Start Rite." By the 1940s, the demand for Start Rite shoes was so high that the number of units issued to retailers was limited. Then approximately a decade later (in 1952) start rite footwear was limited to children's shoes. During this era, the company introduced several innovations in the world of children's footwear. That included shoes that complemented the shape of children's feet, and a structure that aided in maintaining a child's growth and balance. Three years later, Queen Elizabeth granted Start Rite with the Royal Warrant.

By the mid-1960s, the company had become so lucrative that the Southall family decided to register "Start Rite" as a trademark. This marked the birth of the company's modern era. From 1989-2003, the company received its second Royal Warrant. Amazingly, the UK's Royal family has worn more than 1,500 pairs of shoes from Start Rite!

Throughout the 1990s, Start Rite footwear continued to be an innovator in the world of children's footwear. In the late 1997s, they introduced shoes that they had designed for young grade-school children. Furthermore, the company introduced new lines of shoes that provided parents with more stylish options.

Since the turn of the 21st century, the company has continued to manufacture state-of-the-art shoes for children. It continues to meet the footwear needs of children. The company's shoes are now available in more than 400 retailers throughout the UK and worldwide. For example, they became the first brand of children's fitted footwear to offer its shoes online. The company strives to remain a leader in the world of children's footwear.

Parents want their children to start life on the right foot. One way to help achieve that goal is through quality footwear from Start Rite. It's the right choice for your children's start in life!

Charlotte Wilson has been sharing her experience with various fashion brands and retail stores such as online shoes retailer Sarenza UK, through writing for over 10 years. To view a range of fashionable footwear including the Start Rite collection, visit the Sarenza website.
