Other responsibilities include checking out customers, assisting them in their purchases, handling returns, and seeing that the overall cleanliness of the store is kept up. Pharmacist - If you can meet the requirements, pharmacists generally must hold an accredited degree in pharmacology and have extensive knowledge about prescriptions and their side effects to be considered for employment. Some locations may require prior work experience before hiring. Pharmacists play a direct role in the safety and well-being of other people's lives. There are also positions as pharmacy technicians available, which require similar qualifications, but are considered entry-level pharmacy positions. Only serious candidates need apply. Technicians are generally paid around $9 an hour, with pharmacists paid roughly $50,000 to $60,000 a year starting.
Management - Careers with Rite Aid are both exciting and rewarding. Shift supervisors maintain scheduling, while pharmacy managers and store managers oversee protocol and customer satisfaction. Positions as assistant store managers also exist. Shift supervisors and pharmacy managers are paid hourly. Store managers are paid salary, and make anywhere between $30,000 and $65,000 a year. Pharmacy managers can make in excess of $100,000 a year.
